A Message From the Superintendent

Thank you for visiting the Fairbanks Local Schools’ website! We hope that you learn about our students, staff, and school community. Our school community is special with a strong tradition of excellence, deep community pride, and academic success. My name is Adham Schirg and I get to serve as the Superintendent of Fairbanks Local Schools.

As a public educator, I believe deeply in the potential of all students. Students should have the opportunity to grow personally, academically, and as a member of their community. Our schools will continue to reflect the deep tradition and pride of Fairbanks. We will also continue to have high expectations for ourselves while evolving to meet the educational demands of an ever changing world.

This is my sixth year serving in Fairbanks. Prior to serving in Fairbanks, I was a classroom teacher and soccer coach in Westerville City Schools and a building administrator in Worthington City Schools. While in Worthington, I served as a Dean of Students, Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, and Principal. Both my Bachelor’s Degree in History and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy were awarded by The Ohio State University. Currently, I am working on my Doctorate of Education from Miami University.

My wife Mary and I have three daughters. They are in 7th, 8th, and 12th grades. We enjoy traveling, staying active, and cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes. This summer we spent ten days hiking out west!
